I tried LibraryThing. I am a member of PaperbackSwap which is similiar in a way. It has discussions boards and reviews and chat rooms.
I find all of the entering and discussion takes away from my reading time.I hate writing so writing reviews would be a distressful thing for me.I appreciate those who do have the time to give their opinions. Maybe when I retire I will get more into social cataloging. I carry around a little notebook with lists of I what I want to read when I run across something when I am reading the journals for collection development.
